Until I start posting some information about the Capac Summer Festival 2009 I figured I would add some information about Capac for all of you read.
The Village of Capac was founded in1857 by a group from Romeo, Michigan. Capac was named by the Honorable D. C. Walker. It is the belief of some that the judge named the town after the head of a Peruvian line of Inca Indian emperors named Huayna Capac. Others believe that the name originated from the first Inca ruler Manco Capac.
