Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Red.October was born to a jazz/soul performing mother from Detroit and a jazz/soul performing father from Hawaii. Both toured the world performing with Tops & Blue for many years. Red.October began his journey through sound at the age of 15 where he would jot lines here and there that would eventually end up as complete songs. A year later he began producing beats and recording for himself and other local artists. During his high school years, he and a few friends embarked on creating mixtapes. They became very successful selling them between classes and gained much popularity. At the age of 18, Red.October went on to take his music career further by attending Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL where he received his Associates in Recording Arts and his Bachelors in Music Business. During that time, he honed his skills as a songwriter, producer, and engineer and went on to record many projects, including his debut album, The Day I Ate Hollywood.
Dating back to 2001 when he picked up the pen and created his first song, Red.October has always been ten steps ahead of the game. With a blend of influences from many different genres, Red.October is able to create a musical presence that cannot be compared. He is a self-taught rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer, and now with an Associates degree in Recording Arts and a Bachelors degree in Music Business, he is also proficient in studio engineering and understands the fundamentals of business within the industry. His sound is young, fresh, and clearly his own. He is ready to take the world by storm with his strong musical background and diverse range in music.
Red.October has performed in San Antonio, TX and Orlando, FL and is now residing in Detroit, MI. Red.October is currently shopping his singles to many indie, local, and Internet radio stations, as well as shopping the advance copy of The Day I Ate Hollywood around to many prospective labels.
