Cougar the Tiger fuses the epic and the minimal while preserving an indie sensibility; and they do it all in three minutes. They make powerful music that is as dramatic as it is appealing. Their mission is to make music that is as honest as possible, but without any inflated ideals or egoism. They are an amalgamation of styles from classic rock to metal, new wave to folk.

| The band's contagious sound has been finely tuned by the combined experience of its three members. Jason Revoir (vocals, guitars, and programming) and his cousin Ryan Brukwinski (drums) have been playing together since they were adolescents. Eight years ago they started the band Arizing. Within a year Arizing became the quintessential forerunner in Detroit's wave of "new metal" bands. In 2000 Arizing inked a deal with local label Medea records (www.medearecords.com). Arizing had a long and successful run until it disbanded in 2006. Warinus DeLastrode (bass) has also played in successful projects over his decade long history in the Detroit music scene. He made his earliest mark in the Hardcore band The People's Front of Judea. Warinus was also one of the founding members of the band Autopilot, who also are currently signed to Medea records. From 2003 until 2005 Warinus and Jason played together in the band Estimated Drive Time. |
