Native of Saginaw Mi, Deyontae Born Willie D. Lytle had to face the reality of growing up into his own man without the guidance from a father figure. In 2001 Deyontae had his first technical highlight of his career by being featured on Mack The Jacka's billboard charted album Jack In The Box. Thus catching the eye of producer G-Pierce who started to mold The Young Protege about the business side of the game and whenever G need lyrics to a song he had up for sale Deyontae would be the first in line, Maybe because of his work ethic. "this kid a hear the beat and in like 10 mins he a be ready to start spittin the verse exactly how I wanted the rap to go" In 2002 Deyontae started a small record company of his own Called Hoodstar Ent releasing a series of mixtapes which featured Deyontae and a few of his younger protege's known as Da-Team (C.money,Bigg Redd, Nook, 2-G & Get Money) It ended up being a very succesful run for the unit selling over 10,000 copies all by hand with the help of maybe 3 stores thus sparking the idea of self distribution for solo projects without the help of a major label.

Deyontae was cleared on all charges stemming from a 2005 event. Charges included attempted auto theft, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon,and obstruction.

In August of 2007 Deyontae dropped his first local underground release full-length album entitled "Money In Da Hood" Selling 1'000 copies out the trunk within 12 days. On the 13th day Deyontae was arrested in his hometown for the possesion of Marijuana and illegally carring two loaded fire arms, in turn bringing money in the hood to an early grave. "I was about to have the hood jumping without the xtra attention from the law now the know my real name but its all because they suspect me of being a south side affiliate and that in turn is grounds for operation sunset to carry out its plan to stop anything that starts in that area" Sept 2008 Deyontae is in the studio wrapping up the new album Hustler's Mouthpiece which basically is looking back on all the past situations that made him who he is today. Look for that album in the spring of 2009 Hoodstar/Nu Era Recordings and distribution.
