New Ground Collabo was the brainchild of Co-Founders Lamont S. Hendrix (Chairman) and G. (G1) Frazier (CEO). Looking to take turn the world unto their music, the duo decided to form an partnership for producing and writing for artists, as well as establish an internet site that would promote unsigned artists for free and allow an highway to international music fans to enjoy their music.

Versify set to "Breathe Life" into Hip Hop With Debut Cd

VERSIFY, a collaborative effort between the American rapper, Doctor Oscify and the German beat producer, Ulliversal will be releasing their debut cd
May, 2006 on the indie label, New Ground Collabo. The debut album of this legendary super group is sure to be one of the most talked about independent records of 2006.
The cd will contain 19 tracks, including "Lady Hard Luck," "Introduction to Versify," and "Everyday Hearsay, and "Money War" (with intro by KRS-1.)"
In support of the new cd, Doctor Oscify will be on the "Rocky Mountain Rappers" tour, with fellow Colorado rappers, Diverge & Ethix, Phunny Pharm, The Few, Sick Sense, and Grieves. They will play dates in Colorado and New Mexico from July through September.

One of the premier keyboard musicians in Detroit, Jamal Cherry (J-Palm) began his career at a very young age playing piano. This Producer/beat maker/musician brings smoothness to hip-hop, combining it with Jazz, New Age feel.
Working with one Lamont "5'58 Premiyum" Hendrix, the two formed Cherrylam Productions in the late 90's, working with such artists and Tony Lyrical, Marcus Flaniken and Isotope.
He has produced artists such as, Bigg Verb, Velben, Royal Dz, spoken word artist Lady J, as well as beat maker for New Ground Collabo. J-Palm also worked with Muruga Booker, playing piano on the soundtrack song Candy Boy for the movie Coming out from 911, slated to start pre-production in late 2006.
J-Palm has released several underground cds, including Baltic Ave, Salvage, Robotech beats, Jpalm volumes 1-10 (10 different beat CD's), and the latest, Rebirth.
Influences include Prince, Stevie Wonder Herbie Hancock, Babyface, Chante Moore, Pete Rock, Outkast, Tribe Called Quest and JayDee (J-Dilla).
