| THE MARTA COMPLEX |
| Formed in early 2005, THE MARTA COMPLEX spent all of that year and most of 2006 locked away in a recording studio. Before the formation of hte band, guitar players Darren Trentacost and Timothy Hicks had just finished producing a recording for a Detroit based band called ONLY PEOPLE. At the time, both Darren and Tim had gotten used to life on the other side of the glass (engineering and producing at Midwest Studios in Rochester Hills) after frequent attempts to get their own music project off the ground. At the CD release show for Only People, vocalist Jonathon Schultz and bass player Dan Bowering, dissatisfied with the musical direction of their band, approached the two Recording Producers with the idea of starting up a new project. The next week the band met at the studio, and didn't leave for nearly two years. During hte recording sessions, Drummer Mitch Schirr joined THE MARTA COMPLEX and made the lineup complete. With all five members in place and the recordings finished, THE MARTA COMPLEX is releasing their first full length CD on August 28th. The CD will be available at BEST BUY Store locations in michigan, along with other retailers such as Borders Books & Music. |
