The Transfer was born in the year 2001 - the year of the future. From the ashes of the monumental punk scene that Detroit enjoyed in the 90's, The Transfer are carrying on the torch for a brand of hardcore and punk that is seminal in creating the "emo" radio takeover. Thanking their lucky stars that the influences behind their music are some of the most sincere bands to have graced our youth music culture, the band is ready to deliver it's new masterpiece, "Detroit burned down & so did the scene...". Conceptually it is an homage to the once vibrant Detroit d.i.y. punk ethic behind show promoting, touring and performance. Musically it is a geographical map that will lead you to regions of soundscapes...Harmony, Chorus, Space, Distortion, Dischords, Majors, Minors, Open and Muted. Listen with your eyes closed - you can see the sounds. Don't be fooled - this is no throwback ploy. The Transfer are living in the now - it is now 2008.
